I go shopping when the grocery store opens up the first thing in the morning. The stockers at night have replenished what stocks that have come in. It is normally at 8:00 AM here and the county elderly bus doesn’t start until 9:00 A.M. I usually go and pick up a neighbor that is 80 because she really does not like being out alone now.
If someone needs time to read the labels it really is not big deal at all to me. I can either wait or come back later. Early in the morning is usually not an issue. Last week the chicken/meat truck was late. I was looking for six whole hens and it was a lost leader item in their advertising. The Purdue whole chicken was on sale for 79 cents a pound and I wanted to stock up. Had to come back later but I had already told the meat manager to save me at least eight whole chickens that were about 4 lbs. The place was packed a little after 2 P.M. He saved me 10 really nice ones and I ended up taking 8 home.
