Finally we have an answer
The Bermuda Triangle Puzzle, Which Had Baffled Theorists For Years, Was Ultimately “Solved” By Scientists
A location that has managed to evoke both intrigue and horror in equal measure is the Bermuda Triangle.
Urban legends suggest that the North Atlantic Ocean, nestled between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico (hence the name Bermuda Triangle), defies standard maritime regulations.
Most of us grew up with an unreasonable fear of what might happen if we ever found ourselves in the Bermuda Triangle because of the region’s many appearances in popular culture over the years. Like quicksand.
There is some history to the Bermuda Triangle, despite the claims that it is home to wormholes, resident aliens, and a time vortex. The USS Cyclops vanished in 1918, Flight 19 vanished in 1945, and a Douglas DST airliner vanished in 1948. It is generally accepted that approximately 50 ships and 20 aircraft have vanished in this area of the ocean.
Thus, you can understand why people are wary.
Have scientists managed to ‘solve’ the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle?
It should not be surprising that numerous scientists have tried to’solve’ the riddle throughout the years, considering how the Bermuda Triangle manages to evoke feelings in individuals that range from terror to intrigue and suspicion.
Thus, what knowledge do we now possess regarding the Devil’s Triangle?
In the Channel 5 program The Bermuda Triangle Enigma, oceanographer Simon Boxall of the University of Southampton argues for the notion of rogue waves. Rogue waves are defined as erratic, furious currents that have the potential to double in size compared to nearby waves.
“There are storms to the south and north, which come together,” Boxall stated.
“And if there are additional ones from Florida, it can be a potentially deadly formation of rogue waves.”
Other experts have proposed that the gulf stream may be the cause, in addition to the rogue wave explanation that has been proposed over the years.
